I found it quite easy to collect 7 identical razors. I had not set out to do it but found my self with three and twigged to the notion. It only took about a month to do it. I guess I was simply lucky to have my interest coincide with the blade's availability and reasonable price.

I say identical but what I mean is the steel, the scales vary. They are all in reasonably good shape, the small chip in the blade on this one probably the worst of the lot.

It depends on what you want your end product to be, your two biggest enemies for this project is time and money, do you have enough of both to invest in it? depends on what razor you choose to collect as to how much and how long before you want a useable set.

i bought a pretty run down seven day set and restored it with new bone scales myself. it was hard work. mostly trying to to get the same product seven times. it took a fair bit of time and effort, most of it was done by hand.

i like my set, it was a lot of time and effort but i am proud of what the end product is, but i do know that i will unlikely attempt anything of the same scale (Bad pun) again. for me it was very much a one off.

slightly different story, it came as a seven day set (monday to friday) and i didn't have to hunt down identical razors.

good luck to you if that is what you want to do and you have the time to do it!it can look pretty spectacular when you pull it of, so plenty of pics here when you do!

I also am looking for 7 of the same maker not the same stile. I started out looking for one brand of Solingen but now have ended up with 6 of another. I guess if I find one more of the brand I have 6 of i'll start looking to finish the set I started out looking for. It's funny how things turn out some times. Oh by the way the set you show looks very good. those blades should shave great.
