    Default A big thank you

Just in case he wishes to remain anonymous, I will not name him, but I received a Straight Razor in the mail today from a fellow SRP member today. This Razor was shipped as a Surprise PIF with no strings attached. I was surprised when asked via PM for my mailing address, and SHOCKED when my new acquisition arrived. This blade is definitely the "Ugly Duckling" of my growing collection, but it shaved like a SWAN. I managed a full shave on all areas of my face and neck for the first time EVER with this beauty. Many thanks for an extremely generous gift. I will be paying this generosity forward at the earliest possible time.

Paying generosity forward--what a great expression! And how nice to hear about the generosity of fellow members. A gentlemanly act indeed.

A stub tail wedge in new horn scales. That's no ugly duckling.

I was referring to the patina that was left on the blade during the resto work. But yeah . . . those scales are sweet. I knew it was quality as soon as I unpacked it, but the wife took one look and gave me the stink-eye, as if to say, "you're putting that to your throat?" Why yes . . . yes I am. And glad to do so.

Like I said, she may not look like much, but she shaves just fine . . . and that is all that matters to me.

I think that is gorgeous. Patina is a lovely thing to me, and those scales are beautiful!
    Congrats!
