clean that nasty thing up and shave with it at least once. just dont mess up the etch, its already faint and thats where the value is to a collector. original scales? thats a plus, save those too if you can. the big one? will be a lot of effort but can be made to shave. if you dont want the added project of making scales for it then maybe consider tossing it on an auction site or looking for scales as donors
