As soon as I have descent pitures taken and found a way to place them here I will post a few to compare them with each other.
The only model I could compare by now was a 8/8 "Doble Temple" Filarmonica by José Monesrrat Pou with a # 14 slug/blank.
Maybe it has been a quick draw of mine but there are pretty similar slugs/blanks from a Solinger factory.
What is the correct word for the not ready ground blade or the status when they were sold to other companies to be further worked on?
Is it slug or blank or something else?

Thanked: 108Blank I think is the word used.
That's interesting, maybe you're right. But Toledo steel's pretty well-known in its own right.
Rich, I don't mean to be a wet blanket but all six of my fillys plus the pair of filarmonica scissors my wife uses say "sello d'oro" on them. That's also what written on the company logo stamped on the boxes the CS fillys come in. On the other hand maybe you're talking about the "especial" part?

I am focusing on the Especial, but my other Fillies say Doble Temple and not Sello de Oro. Interesting.

Of course Toledo-Steel is a respectable name, too.
Unfortunately it has gone almost as far down as the name and reputation of Solingen in the last two or three decades.
But what am I trying to tell you?

Yeah, thatīs sometimes some sort of secret mysteria who used whose steel?
French Thiers Issards made from british sheffield steel ... known!
Duble Ducks with Puma Logos on the Shank ... seen!
Filarmonicas which have almost the same blanks and shapes as old Raader razors ... also seen but not proven!
As soon as I get the pictures taken I will post them for the "Filarmonica"-collectors to compare and judge for themselves.
Right now I only have a pic of the Filarmonica I have used to compare the other blanks with

I must confess that I have only done the polishing to this one.
It has been in a good condition and I have only removed some ox-spots and done some cleaning to it.
Since it was only given to me for polishing I didnīt do any grinding or honing on it.
Only a little work on the strop because I could not resist testing its shaving qualities.
As I said, I believe that this kind of Filarmonica should turn out to become a very good shaver.
