    Default Waterville Straight Razor

    Hi everyone,
I'm brand new to the world of straight razors. I purchased a Waterville straight razor and was wondering how good they are. I've downloaded some photos. Thanks for your feedback.

I'm sorry, I have no knowledge of the brand or it's maker. I'm sure some of the mentors or more senior members like Neil might chime in later.
Other than that, Welcome to SRP David. There is an abundance of knowledge and information here. Welcome to the "Family".

Waterville are a great razor. They seem to have dropped out of fashion for some reason but when well honed, will shave well above their price point.

I've owned plenty of Waterville razors. They are second to none imo, congrats on a real nice razor.

There is some light surface rust on this razor. What is the best way to remove it without taking off the gold wash or ruining the razor?

Some fine wet and dry paper will get rid of the surface rust without too many problems. The gold wash is pretty delicate so if you need to remove rust anywhere where it is, it'll go too.
