So I got this frameback for only a couple of bucks. I've never restored a frameback so I figured why not.
The scales were celluloid that had gone off so they had to go. They didn't appear to be original anyway.
You can't see it in the pictures, but it appears to have had gold leafing on the spine, tang, and blade.
The blade is stamped Rasoir Diamant (Diamond Razor).
The tang is stamped A. T Paris (no period after the T)

Obviously it's pre 1892 and from France, but that is about all I know about it. Anybody ever heard of them?

Or have a picture of the blade with the gold on it, in case I decide to replate it?

    Thanks

Not sure who A.T is but it was not uncommon for French cutlers to have one period between two letters on their makers marks.
