    Can anyone tell me something abbout the steel quality of those Janus french razors

    I don't know anything about those razors, but I have never heard of nor handled a vintage razor that was not quality steel.

    French steel has a good reputation Rusen I would take a gamble on it. I agree with holli on his comment about vintage steel in general. I dug up an old srp convo that might help https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/...messages/57983 I think it will most likely be a good shaver.

    I Think that they are Tiers Issard rebranded razors or Solingen Rebrand .
    There are many old razors with this shape and stabilazers so i canot understand if is that shape made for Rfance especialy or those are blancs of Tiers Issaard , stampet with many diferent names .
    As with the people , and for the razors , the most important thing is what youre made of .
    The steel quality is important Better a rusty J.A.Henkels , than a customised , new , shiny GD

    I've had a couple of Janus razors over the years. One was a very high end blade, about 7/8 in size with a super worked spine. Excellent shaving razors.
