    Name: 1 Henckel.jpg

Size: 29.1 KBI see a lot of the twin henckel razors but not many of the single henckel razor. I believe they are carbon and not stainless but are they new old or in between. how good would they be. wondering

I've seen those as well and I'm curious about it too.

But Zwillingswerk without a zwilling just seems weird to me, it's just not right.

That is a very good question. I would expect that because the mark is deeply stamped that makes it older, as the newer ones looked like they were laser etched and almost printed on. There was a time that a guy in a knife shop told me that the single dude indicated it was made in japan not germany. That is the only time I have heard that, he was a dealer of Henckels knives, so he may have known a thing or two. I have written to Henckels once asking about the carrying marks and what the ages were, of course this line of question was specific to razors. The return email basically stated that they have no archival information available to them to indicate my requested information. It was an odd response. So the only info I have is a rumor started by a guy in a knife shop.

That is odd, you would think they would have information like that for their own company! I have two Henckels razors, I need to go look at which stamp they have now...

I was watching one on the bay but if it was made in japan I will let it go. They may make fine blades but I have had several razors made in Germany and they all were good.

I have not bought any of the newer ones with the laser etched logo. Part of my rational is that it is fairly delicate, and in the end I would just have an unmarked Henckels. I would expect that they are still good razors, just not for me.
