Default E. Krechen - looking for info

First up, I've been lurking around SRP for nearly a year, enjoying the read. I suppose there comes a time where we all move on from reading to writing, so here I am, finally making an appearance [=

There was an absolutely stunning razor in the classifieds that I spent far too long admiring and not enough time buying, that in the end, someone else beat me to it. The ad read:

    Mint 6/8 E. Krechen - Soligen, Germany

Simply Beautiful, Mint Condition Hollow Ground E. Krechen with intricate spine work and a Dreadnaught point........."

I'm kicking myself for not having leapt at it when I first saw it (listed at US$125), but in reality, I was probably too late even when I first saw it. I've tried to do a bit of research about the maker/brand/model, but am finding absolute zip. Is anyone familiar with this make? Any information at all is greatly appreciated, as far as I am concerned it was a real work of art.

On another note, I've always wanted a razor with some spine work, but not at the price of a Thiers Issard (I'm only a student after all). If anyone knows of something similar to the Krechen at a reasonable price, I'd love to drool at the idea of purchasing one.

Well, first off, welcome to SRP
Secondly, you really need to post a pic to give the forumites an idea of what you're talking about !!
Spine work is all well and good (if you can afford it), but for a first razor ?
There might be a way to retrieve a photo of a recently sold razor on the classifieds, but you will
need to do some detective work and PM some people, like the vendor, to see if it's cool.
    Good Luck.

I may have accidentally found the add in archive. I'm not entirely sure how I found it, all I know is all of a sudden there was a tab open with the archived sale. How lucky was that?

Message - Straight Razor Place Classifieds

It would be my third (or possibly 4th razor). I'll get some photos of these up later:
First: Dovo Best Quality 6/8 carbon steel - replaced the scales with my own from Gabon Ebony
Second: Geneva Cutlery Co 4/8 (may have been 5/8 once upon a time) carbon steel square point - replaced the trashed celluloid scales with another set I made from Bocote.
Both were far from vendor/artisan quality, but they came out beautifully for my first attempt (few minor flaws here or there that I've settled with)
