    Default Blade Alignment

I would like to get some advice on how to get the alignment of a razor that I have sorted out
If I let the blade close normally it will hit the scales ever so slightly is there some way to get the blade to shut without this happening the scales do not seem to be bent in anyway so how do I get the blade to recenter its self (without pulling it apart) as I think this would be a death sentence for the razor
    Thanks to any replies JOHN_S

I don't think you can. the problem is likely in the shoulder pin being bent which would require a new pin. A new set of scales might not be a bad thought either. Something sturdy and inflexible with a third pin for stability perhaps.

You can also tap on the pin lightly. Hit it on the opposite side you want the razor to move. For example, if you want the blade to move right, hit the left side of the pin ('side' being determined by looking down on the spine with the pivot pointing up and the butt pointing down)

So you hit the pivot pin on the side that the blade is touching (or close to touching)?
