Ok I started off with a Boker King Cutter shaved with that for the last 9 months then I bought a Dovo Pearlex what a nice shave now I just got a Ralf Aust today from SRD and WOW the shaves keep getting better with every razor I get, but how many razor do I need
( I want to buy them all ) So this is the question
"If you only had one razor to shave with for the rest of your life what would it be??" Feel free to add a pic of the razor
Ralf Aust 5/8 round point. Always gives me a great shave. Better than some I have that cost almost twice as much.
My 7/8 George wostenholm I-XL.
My T. Hessenbruch 13/16 half hollow. Never dissapoints.

For some reason picking one favorite is a little easier at the moment.

ps- I hope you realize that your question is akin to asking what is the best food or what is the best pickup truck.
This is a question I can't answer, because there will be lots of razors to come that I haven't tried yet. I have some I like better than others, but they all have their own different advantages & disadvantages.

I really have some great razors, but this one shaves and feels like no other.
Before I had this one made I read about how great his razors are, Yep, they really are great.

A perfectly restored wade and butcher chopper.....wishing.....but I will use my revisor until then as my fave...
For me it's MK32 with the turtle scales, I don't think I can tire of that razor even if it's the only one I have to use.

Mine would have to be two razors in a set, because they are identical twins and I cannot see separating them.
The smiling 6/8 Wade & Butcher hollow ground with barber's notch, sloping spine, and ivory scales that are in perfect shape. The razor (razors) have perfect balance and are sweet shavers.

You mean one razor today? I always shave with only one razor. Today is was a 6/8 Revisor. Tomorrow???? Maybe a Grelot or a Dovo or a Henckels or a ....
I realize that Tack, its a simple question with a difficult answer and I haven't used enough of the them to answer my own question.
By the way 95 GMC short bed V6 Manual trans 2 wheel drive w/ slip pos rear got rid of it 3 years ago with 325,000 miles I which I still had it.

I've actually gotten many great shaves off my Pumas. Not the best razors, but great shaves overall

My 6/8 square point Hermann Mehl "Special". A quite uncommon razor that I also, as far as razors go, attach significant emotional value to. Well, that and it's a nice shaver, too
It is my new dovo bergisher Lowe.
I keep using this & I'm loving the shaves from it.

I really can't answer this from experience. I have not shaved with a Straight Razor since I was 18 years old. My Uncle Ralph taught me how to shave with a straight razor. He gave me a nice one when I was in the service. It grew legs and ran away from home (I guess it wasn't happy in my Medicine Cabinet). I do not remember what brand it was. I have 3 that I would consider heirloom that I received when my Aunt Edna Passed away last year.(Uncle Ralph's wife, my mothers sister)
I believe one of them belonged to my Grandfather. The one I would like to shave with is a Spike Straight Razor made by Union Cutlery .
This fili will be my next RAD. Never shaved with one but most seem to really like this razor.Quote:
