Thanked: 96Razor rotation
I have 2 6/8 and 2 5/8 I use on a regular basis. I am interested in knowing what fellow members do as part of their rotation. I tend to use the 6/8 razors then go to the 5/8 razors but don't mix them. I also have been collecting Genco's which I now have 5 in assorted sizes. I have them in shave ready condition and like to take them out on a weekend to feel what a vintage blade feels like. Just bought a beautiful 6/8 Aust from SRD and can't wait to shave with that. That could be the one I use most of the time.

Thanked: 60For the past year+ I have used the same straight razor. It now has 400 and some shaves on it. Once every two weeks I will change up and use a different razor for one day. I really like using the same razor day after day. The familiarity gives me better shaves and makes it easier to maintain.

Thanked: 635I have 5/8, 6/8, 7/8. I put them in an old beer Stein in random order. I take one from the right side shave and put it on the left side. Do the same each day.

I love the one I'm with, which is decided completely randomly, depending on what I grab. Only occasionally, do I go, "nah, not today" to one of my herd.

I think all should say how often they rotate. I use a different razor every shave, while a friend picks one and shaves with it for a for a week.
I keep about 24 ready at home and mix olds, news, bigs, littles, wedges, inox, framebacks, oddball safetys and a few pairs and sets come in from time to time, one at a time. Love to look forward to a new one each time. It also makes me get them all on the same level of shaveworthyness. As they come and go, they all become good shavers.
I like variety, I suppose."Don't be stubborn. You are missing out."
I rest my case.

I'll start. I have enough to use a different one every done for 11 days, but I keep a couple in the "to be refreshed/honed" pile...so about 9 are used, different one each day, usually.

I have a clear rotation. Each day the one behind the last one used moves to the starting gate. It is a mix of 5/8 & 6/8 razors. I want a 7/8 one day to try on for size. I do like a 6/8 due to the extra heft.

I have 40 or so razors. Everything is between 5/8 and 15/16ths, several wedges, some quarter and half hollows, bunch of framebacks, 80% of them are Sheffields, some Swedes, two Solingen and a couple of Kamisori. I'm always testing stuff so everything gets love, this is the reason I cut down from 80 +\-.
