Thanked: 346The pins are allen screws - you can disassemble it with an allen wrench for cleaning, and adjust the tension w/out taking to it with a hammer. It's a great feature.

Wow Robert,that is a real work of art,I like this one the best of all those you've made,but as you know I really prefer the old time hand forged stuff,as you know most people dont realize how much time and highly skilled workmanship goes into someting like this. The forging alone is a lifelong skill to develop(as Im sure you know fullwell) Im really impressed by this piece.I am interested to know how much time you have in this, if you want to tell us

Thanked: 324I don't think about the time involvement too much or I'd get pretty depressed, I think, LOL. My best guess is between 15 and 20 hours, Gary. There are an awful lot of steps involved and some of those steps are quite iterative.
