Developing a plan of gains or capital retention through old straight razors sounds totally ridiculous to me but, consider, in 1985 I thought FAX machines were ridiculous in a world already serviced by telexes and drum transmitters. If I recall, back in the 1940's Mom thought automatic washing machines were a fad. I come by it honestly.

As my son asked me when he thought I was not driving my car "hard enough", are you saving it for the next owner ?
That's like not making love to your girlfriend in order that she's saved for the next guy.

I'd be shaving with them! Unless those razors are absolutely priceless and going to mean you could sell them and live in the lap of luxury for the rest of your days, is it really worth saving them unused? Do any of us think twice about using our cars because of potential depreciation? I think not! Happy shaving!
