Nice razor! It looks to be in decent shape from the picture. I have one from my Grandfather on the way to me. I don't plan on using his except on special ocasions, but I will have it restored so I can can pass it down at some point.

i would say that's a fritisse/fritise, i'm not sure if this is a brand maked by ERN. but in every case it's a good razor. Surely from solingen.

He had the razor, box and his shave mug too. It'll go off for a restore very soon. Now I'm looking for a specific vintage brush to restore and keep with it.

Does it really matter what it is. You have your great grandfather's razor! I don't think it could get any better than that.
