Two unknown razors - Green's Bar. Co. and Worcester Razor Co.
I just picked up two razors at an antique shop this weekend with plans to restore as needed and have them in my rotation. Does anyone have info on these to razors' make and model? Do they have potential or am I setting off to restore a couple razor shaped objects that just look old. They are shown in the picture.
The top one has "Worcester Razor Co. Worcester Mass. USA" on the tang. It is a 5/8 and has a broken scale. I plan to replace the scales with Ironwood or Cocobolo.
The bottom one has "Little Guy" stamped on one side of the tang and "GreenS Bar. Sup. Co. Lincoln Neb." on the other side. The scales on this one are a little dull, but intact. It just needs some polishing.
Any idea of the approximate age of these? There is some tarnish/tightly adherent oxidation on both. Any suggestions for removing it? I tried 0000 Steel wool with limited success. I don't have any polishes on hand but do have a few high grit wet/dry sandpapers.

I can tell you that the Worcester razors are excellent razors and take great edges. Superb steel! Manufactured between 1900-1930. The Greens Barber Supply distributed German made razors from 1920-1940...can't say much about the quality except that being German made from that era it is probably a quality razor.

I polished/ cleaned up both of these as well as building new cocobolo scales for the Worcester. Yesterday evening I had the best shave ever with the Worcester! It took an edge better than my TI! Very happy with it.
