New Koraat razor on the way!!!
Boy am I psyched!! Just got the pics. of my new Koraat razor that's on it's way from Ulrik this morning. Boy I can't wait to get this in my hands and shave with it.
My thanks to Ulrik!!! He is a true craftsman and a pleasure to work with!!
If your thinking about pulling the trigger on one of these, Don't Hesitate!
The blade is 8/8 French point and a near wedge. The scales are box elder burl wood.
Here's the sneak peek

That looks great. I'm so tempted to get one of his blades and try a little project.

Update : I am now in possession of my new razor and have had my first shave with it. First, the fit, finish and quality is superior in every way. As I expected it shaves beautifully. It was smooth and very comfortable. Under magnification the bevel is probably the nicest that I have ever seen. It's super even, very keen and highly polished. The razor, being 8/8 is heavy but very well balanced and handles easily. I have a couple of Wade and Butchers and another 8/8 custom, so size and weight was almost normal for me. If you go from a 5/8 razor to this, as they say in the Boy Scouts : Be Prepared! It will probably take a.little getting used to. If you're a fan of big blades then you could easily fall in love with a razor like this...I know that I did!
Thanks everyone for the kind comments!
