The Image comes from the Registration Book of Manufacturers and TM's of Thiers:
    Marques de coutellerie Thiers

Get it right, fellas. It's a little French guy wearing a funny little hat! I am thinking a sailor?

Seriously, thanks for the info, Rockabilly! To the French, having your marks registered in the Marques de coutellerie Thiers is akin to the Sheffield Cutler's Guild in England. The best of French cutlery was/is from the Thiers region, I understand.

    I rest my case.

Marin is the trademark, in English its Sailor, hence the little french guy wearing a hat.

As Rockabillyhedge posted the makers is Guillaume Luent from Thiers, France. But before the stamp Veritable Marin, Guillaume registered the trademark Marin in 1891 as pictured below. The trademark "Veritable Marin" was registered in 1908, that said you get a good timeline to the OP razor made between 1891- 1908.
