I just use regular mineral oil (unfragranced baby oil). I have a tiny bottle of it next to the sink; after drying a razor with toilet paper or my t-shirt I put a drop of oil in the pivot area. Some guys leave their razors out open for 15 minutes after a shave to make sure they're good and dry, but I've got a cat (nuff said).

For regular use, I just wipe off the soap with cotton balls and alcohol; it also acts as a dessecant. I wipe off the excess alcohol with a kleenex and it's good until its next turn.
For long term storage, I just use mineral oil. It's usually in the same section as alcohol and peroxide, to be used as a laxative. $2-3 per bottle that will last you a lifetime.

Door hinges, lock cylinders, hair clippers and cutting boards to name a few more uses.

    Mineral oil is wonderful stuff!
I use it to oil the moving parts on certain food service equipment where the moving part would be in close proximity to the food.
I use it because its food grade and it doesn't gum up.
Funny,it never occured to me that I could use it on my pocket knives or straight razors until now.
