Question for the Henckel folks
With all the different no. on the henckels what would the width of the blade be on a 78 1/2 henckel razor?

The one I had was a 5/8 blade with a round point. I don't know if this is the universal configuration for this model. Just adding some anecdotal evidence.

Thanked: 4578 is the model # and is 5/8. The 1/2 indicates a round point versus a square point that would not have the 1/2 designation. Other designations appear across the line of Henckels as well, but those are it for that model.

Thanks for the info. I really wish that the width was on the tang of razors so we would know at a glance.

Thanked: 4828Henckels numbers are kind of funny but for the most part the 1/2 observation is correct. I have seen one older model 78 that was quite wide maybe 7/8 but all of the newer 78's I have seen are 5/8. If it has the standard twins logo it is likely going to be 5/8, but if it is the older circular stamp like on your 17 it could be wider.
