Shave ready right out the box
I just purchased this Aust 6/8 French Tip with horn scales. Not only is it beautiful, but I cleaned the oil off and shaved with it, no stropping. A great save! Hardly felt the blade cutting. Amazing to find a razor from a manufacturer with such a fine honed edge right out of the box
. Love the Austs. It's my third and they are all fantastic.

Those scales are stunning! Our version of shave ready probably differs from most of the manufactures, nice to see they got it right. I just got my first Aust a few weeks ago, they are nice shavers.

If you bought it here from SRD then I would say Lynn or another honemeister made it truly shave ready. I can't say for sure but I think they do give them a once over to make them truly shave ready! Someone correct me if I am wrong on this?????

I bought my first RA from SRD and it was ready to go as soon as I tore open the box. Of course, I was so excited I tore open the box as if it was Christmas and I was 6 years old. I had so many pieces of box and packing wrapper, I almost did not see the razor or the strop that I had ordered as a kit. When I finally found my "gift" they were in awesome condition and have served me well.
