I think the most important part of your research has already been done. It was in your grandfathers collection. Have a new set of scales made up and enjoy an heirloom shave. It is a very nice looking blade. Enjoy it and cherish it. Other than that I too have found nothing. There are those with better skills that ill likely be along.

As already stated that is a very good looking blade and I would bet that once new scales were on and cleaned up and honed it would be a great shaver. will be a great keep sake.

So I am new to all this, I was just looking at selling off his collection. If I was interested how would I go about having a new set of scales made?
