Thanked: 96I had him regrind my first razor I bought. He got a new wheel or sander that made it similar to a hollow grind, not extra hollow. The new one i got with a smiling face is also the hollow grind. His razors are heavier then most razors and the blade is on the heavier side but he can with the new equipment get a thinner grind. I have 5 Mastro Livi's and the newest one, the Mastro Livi club members club razor is extra hollow and thinner then the other Livi razors I have. Jerry's is heavier then Mastro Livi's. When I get Jerry's razors, I hone them on my Naniwa 8k, 12k, Suehiro 20k and then on the Mastro Livi Chromium Oxide and skin loom strop. Really puts a sharp, smooth edge on the blades. Just my preference.

Thanked: 13I purchased that Jerry Stark from you and I must say that I love that razor! It has a beautiful thin grind but it is stiff enough to handle ATG stokes without the tug I get from some super thin hollow grinds. Had I gotten a razor like this earlier on I don't think I would have purchased so many razors looking for something I really like. Thank you!

Had a few and they were made with great detail but I just could not warm up to the "feel in hand", the shape and scale design was off for me.

Thanked: 96dan656 I honed that razor on my Jnats and Naniwa and finally found the right combination. Blade seems to like the Naniwa 8k, 12k, Escher and Mastro Livi Linen and skin loom strop. If I do say so myself, it turned out to be a really nice shaving razor as you said. I have a 7/8 smiling blade razor he made for me and that one is also a gem to shave with.
