Thread: Jerry stark razors

I own several Jerry Stark razors, two that are hand forged. Jerry is by far the easiest person to work with and stands 100% behind his product. I haven't had any issues but he assured me that if there was it would be taken care of. Whenever I buy from a custom maker I always allow them the opportunity to talk about their work just so I can gauge their knowledge. When I had done this with Jerry not only was he knowledgable but u could tell his passion he has with his work! I would sold on him after our first conversation.
I own several custom razors and Jerry Starks razors are on top of my list! My only issue with Jerry is that he continues to make razors I can't help but buy, on that note my wife hates him [emoji28]
Hope this helps!

My second Stark was in the mail when I got home. It looks even better in person. Jerry does great work!

Thanked: 96The width of the spine to the tail is wider. The blade is heavier then most modern and vintage razors I own or have tried. I happen to like it. It adds some weight and when you hold it, you can feel the razor in your hand. It also shaves great. The added weight enables you to just place the razor on your face and shave, no pressure, let the razor do the work. I compare this to the Mongoose SE or the 7/8 Mastro Livi with antler scales I own. Heavier but it works in performance.

Thanked: 96Jerry didn't grind the spine to tail as thin as most manufacturers do. It is slightly heavier which I like. I had my razor blade ground to a full hollow and it has great balance with a very smooth shave. When I got it, I stropped it on my Mastro Livi chromium oxide and skin loom strop and under the magnifying scope the blade was smooth and the edge perfectly even.

Thanked: 96I really like the first one I got so I ordered this one. Forged steel with a 7/8 smiling edge and Spanish tip. Jerry just shipped it and I can't wait to take it out for a shave. Very distinctive. The smiling one is mine.

Thanked: 96Got my smiling razor yesterday and took it out for a shave this am. Really smooth and sharp. Jerry put a hollow grind on it and man is it nice. Great quality and wonderful guy to deal with.
