    I think it's probably just a marketing stamp/etch, like the "Chinese" razors, and many more with stamps such as, "Silver Steel", "Fine India Steel" and various others....nice razor, and you don't see to many with that particular etching.

    Yes, I would think the blade is faux Damascus done by etching.

    Oh, I was thinking the seller might have made an error in his listing but now that I read this, he didn't. He is just hoping some fool will pay that amount for a rare razor. At first I was thinking he might had been asking $399.99 instead of $3,399.99. I have seen it happen before.

    Nice blade, should clean up nice. You should keep it and use it, they're great shavers. I find myself reaching for mine quite often.

    Thanks guys for helping me out on this... Let me know if u think I can take this restore further in terms of the steel... Also tips on the scales would be nice

    That turned out SWEET!!!

    Cleaned it up nicely!

    Sanding it might take off the etching....use caution.

    If in doubt of your skills....ask a pro.
