Thread: W.R. Case Razor Info?

Hello everyone. I am new here and to straight razors. I have collected Case XX knives for a good while now and I also collect autographs from western movie stars over the years.

The other day while browsing eBay I came across a listing that combined the two perfectly and on an impulse I hit the buy it now. Some of you may have seen the listing but it was for a W.R. Case Straight Razor that was owned by one of the men who played the Lone Ranger, John Hart. It also came with an autograph on an old check.

I already have the long starting Lone Ranger, Clayton Moore's Autograph and I have been wanting to get into straight razors also so this being a Case XX razor just tied it all together perfectly.

I am very pleased with my purchase.

I know how to date the Case XX knives but I have not been able to find much out there on the Straight Razors. Is there a place to search for info on the straight razors?

I would appreciate any feedback and info on the razor.

On the tang it says: Registered No. 023 Warranted for life. On the other side it says W.R. Case & Sons Bradford, PA.


This is the first of what I think will be plenty razors to come. They just bring back so many memories of me watching my Great Grandfather shave with one and the smells that came along with it. I have ordered me several soaps and aftershaves and plan to find a good shaving razor and other items also and try my hand at shaving with them.
