Thanked: 0Is this `The Famous PIC Razor from Solingen-Germany` of good quality?
I want to begin by saying Hi to everyone. I wanted to start straight razor shaving as it interests me very much. I am on a budget so I decided to scope out eBay to find a nice one. I could not find information on this razor but it seemed nice to me. Although I am no expert I wanted to ask what you guys think of it, any info or comments on the quality would be highly appreciated as I want to make sure I am starting off with a good razor. I heard razors made in Solingen germany are of good quality. Thank you everyone

Thanked: 4827A vintage razor from Solingen is likely to be a very good shaver. In general the older models are all of a decent quality, I suspect most of the new ones from there are good too. When looking for bargains you should not overlook the classifieds here. There are some nice blades in shave ready condition that pass through there regularly.

Welcome aboard,,,at a glance the razor looks fine. Have it honed by someone capable of honing razors,,, bringing it to a shave ready status.
Here is a list of members who hone, for you to choose from.

Is it just me, or does that look very similar to a Filly?

I found the listing on eBay. It looks like a nicely ground quality razor that is in great condition. It is quite likely shave ready given the sellers description and the comments in his feedback. Enjoy!

Thanked: 480I had a PIC at one time. Might still have another in the "to do" pile. Good Quality razor. nothing fancy, but a good shaver. That one in the picture is much prettier than mine was.
