Thread: Wayne-Torrey

Good evening all,
passed through a flea market the other day and saw a razor with a stamp on tang that said WAYNE-TORREY and also had the JR Torrey trademark, storeowner claims it to be unique (rare) asking $75 dollars for it, its in good condition would need TLC and to be honed but nothing drastic, i attached the note with the razor.(hopefully) What are your thoughts? thanks

Giving a good answer to your question would be so much easier with photos of the razor, but I know you don't have those or you would have shared them.

So,,, If you are not experienced with Torreys & their history,,, at least view this link & see if the razor in question has any of these flaws. If it does, then I would avoid it.

Maybe a member experienced with the history of Torreys willl come along, maybe not tonight, & will have an exact answer as to whether a particular Torrey is more valuable than another.

Thanks I own a few Torrey's however I wouldn't say I am an expert on them but the Wayne part kind of got me and I will go get pic tomorrow I do have a pic of the stamp but that's it, thanks for the link though
