My pair of John Barbers showed up today
And what a pair it is. There's a crack in one scale but it's not too bad and there's a peculiar slope to the spine that I've not seen before. When looking down the length of the spine, at the toe there seems to be a slight upward slope towards the face side of the blade. It's the same on both razors and I wonder if this will make honing them difficult. I'm not sure if my pictures show what I'm talking about adequately. At any rate, it is a beautiful pair in remarkable shape for their age and I'm thrilled to be adding them to my collection.
