I would go more for a production razor than a custom, unless you want to get your hubby involved in the design process, with a custom you can have whatever (within reason) you want and the more subtle nuances are something only he could really decide upon. It would be a shame to have the opportunity to have a custom razor and not have exactly what you(he) wanted.

Despite speaking for re visor I don't and haven't owned any of their razors but they are well regarded and have a nice range of products.
