In my search for razor honing, I landed on Glen and to this day it is a pure pleasure to put a razor to my face after he is done with mine, the phrase " buttery smooth " comes to mind, I don't know what he does but the whiskers just vanish ,, you got the right guy,
But Roy you do a great job too! Tc“ I,m getting the impression that everyone thinks I have TIME to fix their bikes”

Glen has honed a few razors for me and really does an awesome job, the before mentioned phrase 'Buttery Smooth' is an excellent description of the shaves you get from his edges.
I also had him fix a Joseph Rodgers & Sons frame back for me and the craftsmanship was excellent.
Have you seen his custom razors? Awesome!!"If You Knew Half of What I Forgot You Would Be An Idiot" - by DoughBoy68

Slightly off topic, but I seem to run across a lot of the Western Bros. Branded razors. They all seem to take a very nice edge as well.
The older I get the more I realize how little I actually know.

Thanked: 315Glad to hear it. Wow, he helped you with a return? That is awesome.
I would recommend leaving a comment for him at the bottom of his service page. That gives other potential customers a chance to see what people think of his work.
I sent two W&B's to Glenn for honing. He did a great job with a quick turnaround. Since I am still learning, the razors area actually giving me a SMOOTHER shave the more I use them.
I'm working on honing some of my own razors now, so it is nice to have a standard for comparison. I followed his suggestion on spending more time on the lower grit stones and it has made a big difference.

I have not had a razor honed by Glen, but everyone I speak to complements his edges.
Wester Bros razors are also great!
Atta-Boy, Glen!
(can I send you a few which are eating my lunch now?)
"Don't be stubborn. You are missing out."
I rest my case.

Thanked: 45I have had the privilege of meeting and learning a bit from Glen this year at the Rock Mtn GTG and could not have said it better myself. He has a very good hand with just about any razor on any stone....and can tech patiently. On a side note...he's a pretty entertaining gent as well!

Here is a picture, as promised of the razors. Sorry for the image rotation, can't seem to get it vertical despite rotating my file various different ways...
