It's Ordered!!!
Ralf Aust - Solingen 5/8" Black
I cannot wait to receive it. Plus I am spoiled because I can go to the store and pick up being 2 miles away.
(Gives me an excuse to maybe purchase a few things too)
I appreciate the advice and assistance from everyone on the forum.
My son and I looked over the website and it was between the Dovo 6/8 and this one.
He picked out this one.
Since I am returning the SimbaTec he picked out, I let him choose between the two I was looking at.
I will do my best to review and provide insight from a rookie perspective.

Congrats. I have one and love it. Shaved with it this morning. Tried something new. Touched it up on a piece of 5/8 thick glass, then strop. The shave was incredible.

I am very jealous of your being 2 miles from Imperial Shaving. I am sure you'll enjoy it, and post pictures when it arrives. Here are mine: a 5/8 and a 6/8.

I have 2 Aust 6/8 and think they are excellent razors for the money. Recently got hooked on Mastro Livi's but I still enjoy the fact the Austs really hold their edge and offer an exceptional shave. You made a good choice.

Congrats! My 7/8 Ralf Aust is my daily shaver. You are lucky in that you can go and get yours. I had to wait a few weeks while my razor came from germany because I had to order directly from the Ralf Aust website
