For sure try changing your angle, it will make a world of difference with a wedge! When I got my first I thought I could ignore the advice and just shave with it using the same technique as my hollows. It didn't work...
As for stropping 5/8 are super easy but 4/8 start to get more difficult. Can you post a picture of your wedge Boker?

Nice looking blade, love the Spanish point. Hone her up already! I bet it shaves well.

Quick note, one of first I cleaned up before I knew to follow the edge with smile in spine.

Does a slight smile in wedge razors edges make it more user friendly since it doesn't flex than a straight/flat hollow edge that can flex?

I haven't noticed a difference as far as forgiveness goes. I do find a smile is easier for those hard to get neck hollows, but that goes for any grind for me.

You could do a lot worse than this baby

I can guarantee that the guy also knows how to get a superb edge on a blade.

    Default DD Satin Wedge

I found a DD Satin Wedge in fairly good shape and am in the process of cleaning up first. Can't wait to try it. I can see the big difference in edge flex comparing it to a DD Dwarf. The Boker has less edge flex than this Satin Wedge.

What degree of wedge here, quarter or near?
