I've been using a pair of vintage Schmidt razors for the past 15 years or so, and am looking for a new razor. I've narrowed it down to either a Hart or a Ralph Aust. Of these which would you choose and why?

I'd be partial to another Schmidt

Both are very good razors. It really comes down to personal preference. The Hart is a stiff grind and quite heavy whereas the Ralf Aust razors that I've seen have all been quite hollow grinds (they might do stiffer grinds though).

Aust, between the two it's the more friendly in the hand , and will be more sized like your vintage. Now if you want a heavy razor then the Hart will fit the bill. Tc
