Thanked: 6Looking for any info on razor find: Ward Bros / Wingfield, Rowbotham & Co
Hey guys,
Haven't been on this for a while, been so busy.
I'm just back from Australia where I picked up 2 SRs. One's a Bengall, the other is a make I've never heard of.
The tang says "Wingfield, Rowbotham & Co Sheffield", the blade has "Wade Bros FEDERAL" etched on it. The tang is smooth on the top with grooves on the bottom for grip.
The box is marked "Ward Bros FEDERAL Razor" on the body, and the lid has "Made in England" along with what looks like a crown and a harp with a figure in the left corner of the harp.
I've tried to find info online but not finding much. Wondering if any of you guys could shed a little light on this manufacturer / possible age of the razor. I've attached some photos, though the markings on the tang are very faded.
Many thanks,
Steve

Thanked: 6Thanks Bob. Yeah that's one of the things I had found, but where it shows Wade on the tang as well, mine doesn't, so figured mine must be a later one.
