Latest Restore
Howdy
Fund another interesting one in the antique store today.
was in fairly good condition so not too much work required.
Not sure if the blade is any good yet as haven't put it to the hones.
Can anyone assist with the history?
Have been looking for a larger blade to try

Looks to be in nice shape! I can't zoom in without making the picture fuzzy...can you take a close up of the tang and blade etch?

Nice find. It looks like it reads Garantie Solingen on the tang.
And on the blade
Made in Germany

Thanked: 3226Yes, very nice find. It will be hard to say exactly who made the razor from the markings. I always looked at a razor stamped like that as a generic Solingen razor. I think I have 2 marked Garantie Solingen and they shave well. Being extra hollow ground I'll bet she will be a noisy shaver too. A quality blade in excellent condition. congrats.

Very nice blade congratulation ! I like the inscription on the blade, should be a good shaver as well.

Did a bit of google digging and this is possibly the maker.
Wilhelm Boos Jun. Solingen: Mangenberger Strasse 315 in 1939. Brand names: 'Hamburg Ring', 'Klingel-Schmied', 'Si Gi'.
Keen to get it on the hones tonight

hahah google has failed me
Indeed seems to be a generic stamping.
Store also had a sanssouci blade in fairly good condition, so will pop back in and get this one to fix up
