Wish List - favorite razor
I'm a very patient collector and have a small collection (under 10) razors. My favorite's are the Filarmonica #12 double temple and my Erik Anton Berg with custom scales. I also really like my Theirs Issard I'm very fond of as well.
I have been looking for the following and will continue the search because after all that's part of the fun!
Wade & Butcher 6/9 or 7/8
Filarmonica #13
Dubl Duck
Joseph Rodgers & Sons sheffield
Hopefully I'll stumble upon some of these but I'm not willing to pay the inflated eBay prices or take the risk of buying a crappy razor from there.
How do you guys manage your collections?
BTW I don't collect for $$$ I just like shaving with cool razors!

I am always on the look out for good deals, with a special look out for a Dorko at the moment.

No real requirement. It just has to have character.
But I definitely love a blade with no shoulder. No better look IMO

For me, fell hard for the Wade and Butcher razors right off the bat, they've always just had a draw for me, and the shave with them is fantastic, whatever the size. That grew into pretty much all the various Sheffield razors, love em.
Along the way, I've tried others and come to enjoy the Spanish, French and Swedish blades as well, lately, I'm jonesing along with a severe case of RAD for the Swedish MK's right now.
I've never purchased a razor with resale in mind, and always went with what I was drawn to, and hopefully quality razors, each one I felt was cool and unique - store them carefully, each one in a separate razor sock, stored carefully in a Windsor Designs Tool Chest.

I've lucked into a couple of Sheffields for bargain prices at antique stores that turned out well. I really can't to be picky, just trying to snatch up quality razors when the chance comes.

The NEXT one is always the perfect one. It's always the LAST one. Oh well, at least we always keep telling ourselves that. Now back to looking....

For me it is like supreme court justice Potter Stewart on the definition of pornography ......... 'I can't define it, but I know it when I see it.' That is the way I 'manage' razor acquisition ........ notice I didn't say ..... disorder.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.
