wedge or microtome

Hi guys,

Here a blade which confuse me. I can't decide if it's a wedge kind of blade or a microtome?

When I look to each side there is no difference but when I look at the point it looks like a microtome, but still not sure that's why I want to ask what you think.

i would say wedge. it looks symmetrical and besides microtomes often have metal scales for sterilization. JMHO

My eye says microtome. It looks hollowed on one side but not the other, and not very hollowed either.

I really can't decide. I will hone it Sunday. But first I put it on a plate surface and each side touch well, I didn't see any difference.

Btw do you have any tips to hone a microtome if it's the case?

I think it appears that way as the blade is leaning to one side, Rez. Tilt your head and look again. I say wedge. :D

Sure hard to tell but looks like a wedge to me. Be interesting to see how this finally turns out.

I'd bet it's a wedge. On the Microtome one side would be straight. That's not what I'm seeing there.
