Thread: dubl duck Special No. 1

Did dubl duck Special No. 1 come in different sizes?
I have 2 of them now and they are not the same sizes.
1/16 of a difference. Also the shoulders are a little different. The blade lengths are also different lengths about and 1/8 difference.
My larger one is a 5/8 blade and the other is 9/16.....

Just thought it was weird.

Seems like they came longer as the width increased. I do know 6/8 models are much longer than 5/8 ones.

Makes sense.

As far as I can tell they came in 5/8, 6/8 and the rare 7/8 I think they all had duck inlays on the scales and black or blued tangs.

Is there not a Dwarf model too?

Yes.... dubl duck Dwarf. Looks the same, marked different. I think the dwarf has smaller dimensions. I can never get one..... Been trying for a while now.

I wonder if they changed sizes somewhat during production of different years or blade manufacturers?

Glen knows a fair bit about DDs....... Wonder if he'll chime in?
