Can we see a pic? It appears that Windrose is a safety razor from a quick search or possibly a shavette.

Not very good at doing pictures but here is a link to the ebay page... Hope it works. This a replacement blade that has been offered to me for a razor that has been lost in the post.

    Personally I would avoid it.
The Logo is laser etched rather than stamped, and the seller states it is a brand new razor rather than a vintage. Both of these things would make me wary, and make me think it was a rebranded RSO. However, I am happy to be corrected. I wouldnt spend 42 pound on it.

On the other hand, if he is offering you a replacement, he has a Kropp and a Hamburg Ring on sale. I haven't spent a lot of time looking at pics available, but both will be better vintage razors if they are in good shape with a good edge

Thank you for the reply. Being very new to this all the advice is greatly appreciated. I was looking at both of them razors. I will probably email him back and see what he will do. If not then I will get my money back and look elsewhere.. Thank you again.

unfortunately more often than not, a great deal ends up being a dud deal. remember when buying a straight razor as a newbie, either buy a straight razor which has been honed by a reputable person - Iz6 has some beauties in the classifieds, or buy a razor which is in a good state and save some money to send it to a reputable honemeister here in the UK. Ask around for honing recommendations.

Yes, I get the same red flags as Damo and I also do not see that it is marked where it was made.

Likewise here. When I looked at it, all I see is a laser engraving on a razor that just looks good & nothing else. The scales look nice if they are streaked horn which is what they appear to be but that might be to throw the seller off.
