    Any ideas what this is? Surely it was never a razor, if so that is some weird wear?

    Sharp and Smith is a maker of surgical instruments. This looks like it might be a fleam, a device used for bloodletting.

    Believe it or not at one time that was an 8/8s wedge. Thats a good example of what happens when an inexperienced shaver uses a 220 grit hone to even out the bevel. And it still looks uneven.
