Surely this was never a razor?
Any ideas what this is? Surely it was never a razor, if so that is some weird wear?

That's what old-time barbers used for shaving inside a customer's nostrils.

Thanked: 0Sharp and Smith is a maker of surgical instruments. This looks like it might be a fleam, a device used for bloodletting.

I think my idea was more fun.

Believe it or not at one time that was an 8/8s wedge. Thats a good example of what happens when an inexperienced shaver uses a 220 grit hone to even out the bevel. And it still looks uneven.

Surely this was never a razor?
Well I am sure it isn’t a Fleam
Wrong shape!
IMO 3 points against a worn straight is the curved back, the straight large scales & no tail for the little finger,
possibly an medical knife.
