OK, so I have been SR shaving for about 4 months and my ASRPM (average straight razors purchased per month) is almost 2. So far my collection includes (in order of purchase); Boker 5/8 Edelweiss, Dbl Duck Special #1, 2 Boker Red Injuns (2 for 1 deal), Ralf Aust 7/8 colored horn round point, Thiers-Issard le Bison 6/8 red stamina and a Joseph Elliot's 5/8 wedge (needs work). Of all my SRs in my modest collection the TI Bison provides me a significantly closer more comfortable shave. I will definitely be adding more TI's to my collection. What I cant figure out, is why the TI is significantly better than my other razors? Any thought?

The Edelweis, Red Injun, and Ralf Aust all provide a very good shave and were professionally honed.
