    Default Satinwedge worth professional restoration?

I have a dubl duck satinwedge I picked up last year and I'm wondering, is worth it to have it professionally restored? I have done one "full" restoration and a few touch ups here and there on other razors. I've never had good luck removing the pins, and I'm nervous to break the scales on the duck. Anybody have any thoughts on if it's worth it to have it redone by a pro? I can't figure out how to post a pic but overall it's in decent shape, mainly some light pitting.

Size: 34.5 KB Here's a pic, had to get out of mobile version of the site. It's the lower one with the clear scales. I'll try to take a better pic this evening if needed.

Basically is the blade is solid and there is no wonky home wear it will restore to be a solid nicely refinished razor. As far as I am concerned they are the top of the ducks. More modern 1/4 hollows are not an easy find. I love mine.

Size: 38.2 KB I assume the professional touch is also needed for my J.A. Hanckles 401 (the one on the right)? I know this is a good razor as well, just don't know if it's worth spending the money on as well.

The henckels will be fine. Looks like all it really needs is a clean up and a hone. In fact it has such a small amount of wear and use the ink is still present in the mark. It may have a little pitting but I think it has a lot of miles left in it.

Thanks for the info. Ideally I would like build a nice 7 day rotation that any man would be proud to own. I've owned some other nice razors in the past but most of them were cleaned up and given to my groomsmen as a gift. Now I'm just trying to put a nice kit together that I can pass on

    Yeah restore that duck!

I would put new scales on it to avoid cell rot.

The Satin Wedge was produced specifically because folks asked them to make it seeing how there weren't any factory wedges being produced in any numbers. That model was predated by the special wedge which if I recall has a hammered neck on the razor.
