    Default What was original finish?

    On vintage razors such as Wade & Butcher, F. Reynolds, George Wostenholm, what was the original finish on the blades? Was it high mirror finish or a lower luster finish? If you look on strazors.com most razors are shown with a lower luster finish not high mirror.

    They were finished both ways. The mirror finish was referred to as a crocus finish and the low luster was called a glazed finish.
