Thread: Mail Call and a Shoutout..

I don't post here very much, but I'm on the Facebook page..

I had a great mail call today, and I wanted to give credit where credit is due..

I got this really nice restored Crown and Sword on eBay from seller vockie20619, who i've later found out is Bouschie on SRP..



I have bought literally HUNDREDS of razors on eBay over the years, and you learn to take the term "shave ready" with a shaker of salt.. well this razor arrived a day early today, the blade lightly coated in oil with a small note included that described the honing procedure it had received and instructions not to strop the razor before use.. That almost seemed like a challenge, so I got myself lathered up and had my Crown and Sword 1166 6/8 round point waiting in the wings just in case..

I wiped down the blade with a little rubbing alcohol to clean off the oil and got to work on my 2 day beard, and all I can say is OMG.. the edge on this razor put my 1166 (that didn't need to come out today) to shame. I had a fantastic shave, 2 pass and smooth as a baby gets in the behind territory.. the kind of shave that leaves you rubbing your face afterwards saying "...damn!"
