Got mine in today. I ordered it with the leather pouch for $10.99. The pouch is well worth the extra $3 in my opinion. It's similar to the ones made by TI and the quality is not too bad. I may order a couple more of the pouches for travel.

I decided to give it a quick strop befor inspecting the bevel and I got a little surprise. Theres a bit of a sharp angle on the point that put a nasty scratch in my favorite strop. I've had this Star Shaving strop for three or four years with no cuts or scratches, until today. Not happy about this, but it's my fault for not inspecting better.

I tried a HHT and it actually passed on most of the blade. I could tell that it's not where it needs more be, but better then expected. Under magnification it looks like it was honed to about 4-5k and the bevel is not fully set on the heal. I may give this thing a try before I hone it, just for fun.

I'm sorry to hear that! But thank you for your post, I will examine mine more carefully when it will arrive

It interesting to hear how it will shave

Any reports on edge retention? I am considering buying one of these for honing practice.

I shaved with Maladroit's ZY this morning. He gave it to me on Sunday to try out. He's managed to put a very nice edge on it. It was sharp and smooth. I was easily able to get a DFS out of a single pass. I can't comment on longevity but it certainly takes a decent edge. Looking at the razor, the grinding looked pretty good. The spine was straight and sides even. I think I might have to look at getting one in the future to play around with.

I had a third shave this morning with the ZY. It was the same as the other two. It delivered a DFS in a single pass. No degradation of the edge that I could detect. I'm not sure how many shaves Maladroit put on it before he passed it to me but I've got no reason to believe that the edge won't last at least as long as any other stainless razor.

    Wasn't aware they were stainless.

There's been a debate about that Graze: some folks reckon they're actually plain carbon steel. I haven't left mine lying around wet to find out . Mind you, where I live the air is salty and even so-called stainless rusts after a while.

Would be easy for me to tell if it's stainless, I won't be able to put an edge on it...
