    I would love to see a microscope picture of a spike point. I wonder what type of wild looking stuff is going on there.

    How far apart are your hairs? Muting to that distance or less would still give you a straight line. Or as straight as possible.

    I wonder about the possible damage to your strop without it muted.

    Just ding the end with a bottle or a window sill and it looks cool and still does the job.

    Dragging it across the edge of the Norton did the trick. I have since honed and stropped and shaved with it and it is fine now. Don't have to worry of an accidental ear lobe nick or slice in the cheek if I press too hard.
