Thread: The age of a puma

Hi guys , quick question the number stamped on my puma gold is 77 . Is that the year it was made. Or how can I how old it may be . If not what do those numbers mean . Thanks Immy

That is the model #. You can get a rough idea of age by what is stamped on that tang, scales, cases, if it came with one. The last ones the Puma family owned company made had that rubber cover on the tang. Earlier ones might have PumaStahl, later Pumamaster Steel, and still later something else. There were Kayser Ellison steel Pumas, Pumas with the dubl duck Bresduck mark. Various over the years. Best to post a photo of the overall razor and the tang stamp.
