Thanked: 39Time to look for boxes!!
Now that my RAD is over it's time to look for some boxes for them. So far I have found 2 boxes, An H.C. Wentworth, and a Torry box. Where are the Wm. Elliot & Co. boxes? can't find any.

Thanked: 4827Perhaps you just need to find some once boxes for seven or twenty-eight razors, perhaps in some nice polished hardwood.
It's not what you know, it's who you take fishing!

Thanked: 3215Really old boxes are hard to find, and nice really old boxes, are really hard to find.
They are out in the wild…
A new guy brings me a razor stamped CHINA for honing, I tried to talk him out of honing it, but he insists.
So I gave him my 10 min razor buying spiel and what to look for. A few hours later, he’s texting me photos of razors from an Antique store.
I advised him to buy 3 and pass on the rest.
I think he paid, 60 bucks for a really nice Ebony scaled Joseph Elliot in a pristine leather coffin box, a nice horn scaled, West trim razor in a nice cardboard box and a Gillette Slim adjustable. All of them cleaned up easily and nicely and the two straights took a great edge.
I can’t find any of the before photos or the photos of the box, I did take some. The coffin box was similar to one of these, long ago posted by Neil Miller in an old post.
They are out there, waiting to be found…

What boxes are you looking for? I have a few around. I would be more then happy to check. I don't have any Elliot boxes. Check the completed listings on eBay. There where quite a few about a month ago from 1 vendor and I don't think he sold most of them. Might be worth an email. Good luck.

I've got a Torrey box somewhere but the postage cost from Australia is about $18 so probably not worth it for you.

Thanked: 7I may be in the minority, but I'm not really all that interested in boxes. Yeah, they are cool to look at (sorta, the majority of mine are all crap), but in the long run they're kinda just taking up space. I think the only one I really like is the W&B coffin that I got with my last purchase, and a Boker King Cutter box that is really clean.
